I'm your neighbour and I'm running to be your voice on Council.

Deep roots.

My family has lived in Springwater for nearly 100 years. My great-grandparents, Beatrice and Maurice Baldwick, were both born in Midhurst and then farmed and raised a family on the 13th concession of Vespra Township, now Springwater.

They thoughtfully preserved the land there for decades and it is now maintained by the Nature Conservancy of Canada as a public nature preserve.

They were also involved in local politics for many years and were trusted voices for many local representatives.

I gained my appreciation for the land, my love for family and my passion for politics from my great-grandparents.

Young voice.

Springwater deserves a young, new voice on Council as we continue to face new challenges as a township.

As a young person living in Springwater for almost my whole life, I will bring both a solid understanding of the issues and a unique and creative approach to tackle them.

As a Youth Fellow at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, I learned the value of youth involvement in municipal government:

1. Youth bring new and fresh ideas to Council discussions
2. Youth engagement improves  outcomes for youth and everyone
3. Youth deserve to be represented and see themselves in their municipal leaders

Proven experience.

I have years of relevant political, community, and professional experience that inform my approach to municipal issues. My experience includes:

  • 4 years as a member and 2 years as Chair of the Midhurst Community Recreation Association – working with the Township and residents on recreation policies and community events and projects

  • Constituency assistant with our local MPP's office since 2019, currently in the finance and budgeting space

  • Youth Fellow with the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, advising on youth civic engagement

  • Local political involvement at all levels of government, where I built relationships with our federal and provincial representatives
