My Plan for Community Safety

I've heard many concerns about community safety, including speeding, unlicensed off-road vehicles, and petty theft. As Springwater grows, these concerns will continue to grow as well. To support community safety, I would: 

• Request more police presence and advocate for a new full-time OPP station (we are currently served mainly by the Wasaga Beach detachment)

• Make speeding and traffic part of the conversation of the new Police Services Board, which will initiate more enforcement

• Investigate photo radar in school zones & community safety zones

• Listen and act when residents submit official traffic complaints and make it easier to do so

• Continue to work with off-road vehicle clubs to educate and enforce off-road vehicle rules on our trails and streets

• Foster a culture of community safety in all of our Springwater communities
